Using TREVLS

    Driver Requirements

  • How old do I have to be to use TREVLS?
Renters must be 21 years or older. Also, keep in mind that we require that all renters have at least 2 years of driving experience.

  • What do I need to have to receive the car?
In order to hand over the car, your TREVLS agent will need to see the credit/debit card that was used to book the reservation and your driver’s license. The name on the credit/debit card must match the license name as well as the name on the reservation. Also, all drivers must provide proof of Insurance.

Please note that TREVLS does not accept temporary licenses, paper licenses, or federal limits apply licenses, with no exceptions.

    Basic Info

  • How do I add an additional driver?
Your additional driver must create an account with TREVLS through our website - we need their information in our system. From there, send us an email or text message with the additional driver's name you'd like to add or arrange it through your TREVLS reservation and confirm when you arrive.
  • I left something behind in my TREVLS!
We understand how frustrating it can be to leave something behind. Simply contact us by phone or through the Connect page on our website.

    Delivery, Pickup and Return

  • Getting your rental car
Shortly before your delivery time, you'll receive a text message notification that your TREVLS Agent is on the way with your car. Once there, they'll hand you the keys and be on their way. It's that simple.
  • Returning your rental car
If you're flying out from the airport
Come to our location at your scheduled drop off time. When you arrive, a TREVLS Agent will be waiting for you. From there, your agent will accompany you in the car as a passenger back to the airport. Just pull up to your departing terminal, hand them the keys, and they'll return the car for you. Have a great flight!

If your car was delivered locally
We'll arrange to pick it up from you at the same location we delivered it and on the end date/time you chose within your account when booking.

    Smoking and Pets

  • What's the policy on smoking in my rental?
Smoking is strictly prohibited in our vehicles out of respect to all renters. A non-negotiable $500 fee will be charged if you choose to smoke in your rental. That said; please respect our policy, as we'd rather not charge you.

Here's why we have to charge a fee:
We can't immediately re-rent a car that's been smoked in to other customers until it's been professionally detailed. This means we have to pay a detailer and lose out on potential rentals while that car is out of service.
  • What's the policy on having pets in my rental?
Pets may ride in your rental if they're in an airline-approved pet carrier at all times. Designated service animals accompanying customers with disabilities are not subject to the pets policy.

Legal & Insurance

    Coverage

  • For International Drivers
TREVLS accepts an international driver's permit. International driver's permits are valid only if presented with the original local license.
  • Supplemental Liability Protection Insurance
    Supplemental Liability Protection

SUPPLEMENTAL LIABILITY PROTECTION (SLP) IS OFFERED AT THE TIME OF RENTAL FOR AN ADDITIONAL DAILY CHARGE. IF ACCEPTED, SLP PROVIDES THE RENTER AND AUTHORIZED DRIVERS WITH UP TO $1,000,000 COMBINED SINGLE LIMIT FOR THIRD PARTY LIABILITY CLAIMS. IF THE RENTER ACCEPTS SLP, TREVLS PROVIDES THIRD PARTY LIABILITY PROTECTION UP TO THE APPLICABLE MINIMUM FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY LIMIT AND NATIONAL INTERSTATE INSURANCE COMPANY PROVIDES EXCESS THIRD PARTY LIABILITY INSURANCE COVERAGE FROM THE APPLICABLE MINIMUM FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY LIMIT TO $1,000,000. THIS IS A SUMMARY ONLY. SLP IS SUBJECT TO THE TERMS, CONDITIONS, PROVISIONS, LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS IN THE SUPPLEMENTAL RENTAL LIABILITY INSURANCE EXCESS POLICY UNDERWRITTEN BY NATIONAL INTERSTATE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE PURCHASE OF SLP IS OPTIONAL AND NOT REQUIRED TO RENT A CAR. THE COVERAGE PROVIDED BY SLP MAY DUPLICATE THE RENTER'S EXISTING COVERAGE. TREVLS IS NOT QUALIFIED TO EVALUATE THE ADEQUACY OF THE RENTER'S EXISTING COVERAGE; THEREFORE THE RENTER SHOULD EXAMINE HIS OR HER PERSONAL INSURANCE POLICIES OR OTHER SOURCES OF COVERAGE THAT MAY DUPLICATE THE COVERAGE PROVIDED BY SLP.

Supplemental Liability Protection (SLP) is excess automobile liability coverage that protects all authorized drivers of the rental vehicle against third-party bodily injury and property-damage claims up to a combined single limit of USD $1,000,000. At some locations in states that do not require the car rental company to provide statutory minimum liability coverage, Supplemental Liability Protection (SLP) will provide automobile liability coverage in excess of the Minnesota state statutory minimums or your existing liability insurance coverage (whichever is greater), and it protects all authorized drivers of the rental vehicle against third-party bodily injury and property-damage claims up to USD $1,000,000 for your rental in the U.S.(excluding your injuries and your passengers' injuries) arising from your rental. Extra coverage means greater peace of mind. Next time you rent a car, be sure you're prepared for life's unexpected turns. This optional coverage offers you big peace of mind for a small investment.
